It started years ago during a bedtime conversation. Ryan came up with the name "The Cows of Nazgaroth" and Michael turned it into a song and they laughed and laughed. Years later, they were talking about making a video game together and the name came back. They started building out the game and realized they needed a whole story behind it — so they decided to write the book first. The book is called THE NIGHT THE COWS LEFT — it's Book One of The Cows of Nazgaroth. It's a fantasy adventure about what happens when every cow in a fantasy kingdom just... quits. There's a cow in a cape who's had enough. A giant rainbow turkey who refers to himself in the third person. A woman named Brenda whose coffee never runs out. It gets weird. They're very proud of it. They also packed it full of inside jokes maybe you will catch a few.

From the Pasture Kingdoms to the dark wastes of Nazgaroth, the world of Udderon is bigger than it looks — and considerably more dangerous. Five hundred years of barbecues. One very angry cow. And a world that's about to find out what happens when the cattle fight back.
A few years ago during a bedtime conversation, Ryan came up with a name: The Cows of Nazgaroth. His dad, Michael, thought it was so ridiculous and perfect that he immediately turned it into a song.
Years later, when they started talking about making a video game together, they realized they needed a world first. So, they built one — a funny, epic, completely unhinged fantasy adventure packed with characters, callbacks, and ideas straight from their own imaginations.
The Night the Cows Left is what happened next. A homeschooled kid and his dad making something real out of something silly--just like it started.
